Cheddar Road Surgery closes on 10 January 2019
Cheddar Road Surgery, based at 55 Cheddar Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, B12 9LJ, will close on 10 January 2019.
After this date all appointments will take place at Summerfield Family Practice’s main site, based at Summerfield Primary Care Centre, Winson Green Road, Winson Green, Birmingham, B18 7AL.
The closure was proposed by the practice as only four patients a week were being seen at Cheddar Road Surgery, and GPs and practice staff had to travel daily between the main practice and the branch site. The building was also in need of significant investment.
Patients and stakeholders were asked for their views during an engagement period which took place in November 2018. You can read the engagement report here. The closure request was approved by the Primary Care Committee of NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group and you can read more here.
If you have any questions about the closure, please contact the practice by calling 0121 411 0362 or alternatively you can call NHS Birmingham and Solihull CCG’s Primary Care Team (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) on 0121 203 3347.
