Urgent Appointment

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):

  • use Accurx Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
  • phone us on 0121 411 0362, Monday to Friday for appointment at surgery please call 0121 4110362 between 08:45AM till 12:30PM. You can arrange an appointment for our morning surgery between 09:00 and 13:00 at Dr KULSHRESTHA’s Summerfield Family Practice,
    or 17:00 and 18:00 at Dr KULSHRESTHA’s Summerfield Family Practice, on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:00pm

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse, HCA or health professional to help you.

Routine Appointment

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • phone us on 0121 411 0362, Monday to Friday for appointment at surgery please call 0121 4110362 between 08:4AM5 till 12:30PM. You can arrange an appointment for our morning surgery between 09:00 and 13:00 at Dr KULSHRESTHA’s Summerfield Family Practice, or 17:00 and 18:00 at Dr KULSHRESTHA’s Summerfield Family Practice, on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination

Online Triage

Use online Patient Triage

To see a health care professional GP at the practice you need to make an appointment.  We can usually offer an appointment on the day and you can expect to see a doctor within one working day or 24 Hours.  If you wish you can book up to 20 weeks ahead. You can expect to see a nurse within 24 hours.

To make a routine appointment at surgery please call 0121 4110362 between 08:45 and 12:30.  You can arrange an appointment for our morning surgery between 09:00 and 13:00 at Summerfield Primary Care Centre,

or 17:00 and 18:00 at Summerfield Primary Care Centre.

If your appointment is urgent please tell the receptionist who will offer you an urgent appointment slot if all routine appointments have been filled.

If more than one member of you family needs to be seen please let us know so we can arrange a longer appointment.

If you are using a pay phone please tell us and we will call you back.

08:00 – 18:30 after consultation hours:

Please ring surgery and you will be connected to the duty clinicians.

  • on a video call
  • by text

Appointments by phone, video call or by text can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • phone us on 0121 411 0362, Monday to Friday for appointment at surgery please call 0121 4110362 between 08:45AM till 12:30PM. You can arrange an appointment for our morning surgery between 09:00AM and 13:00 at Dr KULSHRESTHA’s Summerfield Family Practice, or you can phone us betrween 17:00 and 18:00 at Dr KULSHRESTHA’s Summerfield Family Practice, on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 10am.
